All Prayer Requests are distributed to our Prayer Warriors, who have agreed to pray for the needs of people in our community. Prayers for those with long-term needs are placed on a special list and prayed for daily. Other requests are prayed according to the desires of those requesting the prayers.
The practice of requesting a Mass to be offered for loved ones, living or deceased, is a beautiful and wonderful part of our Catholic tradition. An individual may ask the priest to offer a Mass for several reasons: for example, in thanksgiving, for the intentions of another person (such as on a birthday), or, as is most common, for the repose of the soul of someone who has died.
A $5 stipend per Mass Intention is customary, but not required. Intentions for Mass may be scheduled in person in the parish office, by calling 469-287-7624, or by mail. When sending your request in the mail or turning in the form in person at the parish office, please use the form above, found by clicking the link. Turn in your form well in advance of the date you wish to schedule a Mass, as dates can be taken quickly. Mass Intentions will be listed in the weekly bulletin.
We all know how powerful prayer can be, and we hope those who are in need of our prayers can experience healing, peace, and encouragement through this ministry. If you would like to become a member of the Prayer Warriors, we welcome your participation! The Prayer Warriors Ministry at St. Martin de Porres offers an opportunity to serve God and bring healing to our community by uniting in prayer for those in need. This is all done from your home, office, or anywhere you find prayerful solitude. Members of the Prayer Warriors pray individually for each person who submits a prayer request.
