Welcome to St. Martin de porres! Study, Live, Serve
How does my child prepare for Sacraments?
Sacrament Preparation for First Reconciliation, First Communion, and Confirmation are readiness-based and take place in addition to active involvement in Faith Formation.Any students wishing to prepare for Sacraments must first actively participate in general Faith Formation through our Ongoing Family Faith Formation programs. If your child is above the age of 7 and is not baptized, or is baptized Catholic and has not previously participated in Faith Formation, or is baptized outside of the Catholic Church, please visit the Sacraments /Becoming Catholic tab to learn more about the OCIA Adapted for Children and Adolescents process.
Anyone is welcome to register as a parishioner and attend Mass at SMdP. When it comes to Faith Formation and Sacrament Preparation, Canon Law expects these to be done at the parish in whose boundaries you reside(cf. CIC 102, 518-519). Registration for the parish, although helpful for information purposes, does not determine who can attend Faith Formation and Sacrament Preparation, as eligibility to register for FF/Sacrament Preparation is determined by where you live. Out of respect for each parish’s boundaries, and in accord with Canon Law and Fort Worth Diocesan policies, we may ask that you contact the parish where you live to begin the Faith Formation or Sacramental Preparation process.
Family Faith Formation 2025–2026.

The Troops of Saint George (TSG) is a Catholic apostolate for fathers and sons, founded in 2013 by Dr. Taylor Marshall. It offers a structured program rooted in Catholic tradition, outdoor adventure, and virtue formation. Through camping, prayer, sacraments, and service, TSG aims to form young men into faithful Catholic leaders under the spiritual guidance of priests and the example of Saint George, a soldier-saint and martyr. The organization emphasizes father-son bonding, fraternity, and living out the Catholic faith in the context of nature and chivalry. Each boy is accompanied by his father—this is not a drop-off program.
St. Therese Little Flowers Girls’ Club is a Catholic virtues‑formation program for girls, founded in the early 1990s by Rachel Watkins and anchored in The Catholic Girls’ Guide (1906) and the spirituality of St. Thérèse of Lisieux, the Little Flower of Lisieux. Each girl is accompanied by her mother—this is not a drop-off program. The programs includes gentle talks, songs, crafts tied to the featured virtue or saint, snack time, and awarding of badges once virtues are practiced or verses memorized. Registrations for General FAITH FORMATION and Sacramental Prep closeS Aug 31st at midnight. Should you have any further questions, please contact the Office of Religious Education:
