Our parish was established in February 2015, by The Most Reverend Michael F. Olson, Bishop of the Catholic Diocese of Fort Worth, to serve the rapidly-growing areas of Frisco, Little Elm, and Prosper in eastern Denton County, Texas.
The first Mass of St. Martin de Porres Catholic Church was celebrated on February 8, 2015, at Purefoy Elementary in Frisco. The Diocese of Fort Worth purchased 52 acres in Prosper on March 4, 2015, upon which St. Martin de Porres Catholic Church and St. Martin de Porres Catholic School was to be built. In June 2015, all masses were moved to the St. Martin de Porres Catholic School building, located at 303 King Road in Frisco. The last mass at that location was celebrated on Monday, December 11, 2017. On December 16, 2017, Bishop Olson celebrated the Dedication of Altar and first Mass at the newly-constructed parish hall, located at 3990 W. University Drive in Prosper.

We, the people of St. Martin de Porres Catholic Church, seek to further the worship of Our Lord Jesus Christ within our local community, while maintaining a loving attitude and servant's heart toward all.
As St. Martin de Porres did, our community embraces and protects the vulnerable, and welcomes all as brothers and sisters in Christ.
We respond to God’s call by creating a vibrant and faith-filled community through worship, education, stewardship, Christian fellowship, and prayer.
